Daily Kos has the story. I join with Kos's amusement at this situation, and I also agree with the general proposition that these subsidies don't go to family farms, but to huge agro-companies.

If Kos really wanted to up the irony level, he could probably find some of the same recipients of these "subsidies," are very anti-welfare --- talk about irony --- and hypocrisy.

Subsidies for almost all businesses (including agricultural) are generally almost pure pork. They should all get cut in my opinion.
