Instapundit links to a story that shows the Volcker commission could be compromised, or at a minimum, that there is the strong appearance of impropriety.

Essentially, one of the key members of the commission who had strong links to Kofi Annan, also had strong links Louise Frechette, whose name was omitted from the initial report despite the fact she was heavily involved with the oil-for-food program.

We are not even to Kofi Annan's role and the commission is already covering up....
