Reuters and many other major news outlets have been reporting all day that coalition forces "mistakenly" shot recently freed Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena, injuring her and killing an Italian secret service agent.
Take Me Back Home
Well it turns out that her convoy was speeding toward a military check-point and refused to stop even after warning shots were fired. So really, her convoy was in the wrong - and it was the convoy's "mistake" that caused the shooting. I am sure all the reports will be corrected soon, and the headlines that suggest it was the fault of the U.S. troops will be changed. Or not, not, not, not, not. Got to love biased reporting. Who would guess CNN would have one of the lone neutral reports. |
